De VPRO werkt aan een remake van succesvolle BBC serie Yes Minister (eerste uitzending dit najaar). In het zicht van de komende verkiezingen altijd leuk om even terug te blikken naar de jaren zeventig en te zien hoe toen in deze serie werd aangekeken tegen Europa. Een korte clip uit de orginele aflevering 'The Devil you know'. Met alvast een citaat van Minister Jim Hacker:
"Brussels is a shambles. You know what they say about the average Common Market official: he has the organizing ability of the Italians, the flexibility of the Germans, and the modesty of the French. And that's topped up by the imagination of the Belgians, the generosity of the Dutch and the intelligence of the Irish.
